Announcing the Genius NFTs Minting Details

We are excited to announce the final details for the upcoming mint for the Genius NFTs!

The mint will be in two phases with some key differences. Phase 1, the Community mint, is only open to whitelisted bonus ISPO NFT owners, more details below. Another key difference is the minting method for Phase 2, the public mint. We are still using NKMR but are adjusting our tactics to help fight bots that often attack public mints. Therefore, potential minters must use a wallet with a dApp connector. More information is provided below. For phase 1, the” Send Manually” option will be available.

We will NEVER drop any address on any social media or ask for personnal information. Remember admin will never DM you first.

The Genius NFT mint will consist of two phases.

Phase 1 the community minting

6000 Genius NFTs will be for sale for 70 ADA each only for whitelisted ISPO NFT holders. Being whitelisted will grant you at least 4 spots for minting a Genius NFT. Phase 1 will have two rounds. Any NFTs not sold in phase 1 will be carried over to phase 2.

Whitelisting closed on Sunday, September 18th 2022 at 2PM UCT for both rounds of the community mint.

Round 1 Starts on Monday, September 19th 2022 at 2PM UTC and ends on September 20th 2022 at 1:30PM UTC! Round one for all bonus ISPO NFT whitelisted holders. You’re allowed to mint 4 NFTs in this round.

There is a 30 minute pause between round 1 and round 2 when no one will be able to mint.

Round 2 Starts on Tuesday, September 20th 2022 at 2PM UTC and ends on September 21th 2022 at 2PM UTC! Round two is available for Tier 1 ISPO NFT whitelisted holders (Diamond Hands & Apes). Whitelisted delegators will be able to mint up to 2 NFTs in this round. Any Genius NFTs not minted in Rounds 1 & 2 will be added to the Public Mint.

Phase 2 the public minting

2000 Genius NFTs will be available for the public minting at 70 ADA each, no whitelisting required, on a first come, first served basis. You can mint 1 per txt- but there is no limit. You must use a wallet with a dApp connector.

Phase 2 minting will start on Wednesday, September 21st at 3pm UTC and will remain open while supplies last.

Why We have Disable the “send manually” option for the public mint

Popular online sales (even non-crypto ones) or public NFT mints are often targeted by bots, this is a problem for the entire crypto industry. Our NFT minting provider NMKR is an innovator in anti-bot protection and has implemented several measures to prevent bot attacks. They advise some particular settings for popular public mints like the Genius NFTs to keep bots out.

Dust addresses are targeted by cheaters. The best way to avoid this is to simply disable the “send manually” option. We believe it’s in the best interest of our community and have disabled this function. This ensures our community will have a fair chance to mint.

We will also use an advanced queueing system developed by NMKR for increased anti-bot protection.

For the Public mint one MUST USE a Wallet with a Dapp Connector like Eternl or Nami. If you’re using a new wallet, remember to enable and add collateral to the minting wallet and activate the Dapp connector on Eternl. We recommend using the browser extensions.

If you’re using a cold wallet we recommand using NuFi wallet, Eternl and Nami might have troubles with multi-sig payment using a cold wallet.

Genius NFTs overview

The Genius NFTs will grant from 2% to 6% APY boost on $GENS rewards from the staking rewards on the GENS staking program for a full year.
