neko @KudasaiJP: Would you mind introducing yourself, telling us about your background and the team working on GeniusYield?
Sothy Kol-Men: My name is Sothy Kol-Men. I am a seasoned strategy and asset management expert holding a PhD in Law with a deep understanding of capital markets, digital assets, and regulatory affairs. In 2017, I joined a Swiss crypto investment management company. Among other things, I was responsible for setting up one of the world’s first crypto investment funds domiciled in Malta and to obtain regulatory approvals and licenses. Since then, I co-founded and initiated several crypto-related projects.
Genius Yield is a DeFi asset management solution implemented on the Cardano blockchain to provide superior yield optimization and high returns to users. Genius Yield has developed a concentrated liquidity DEX combined with an AI-powered Smart Liquidity Management protocol that algorithmically automates asset allocation to maximize users’ APYs while minimizing risk exposure

Sothy Kol-Men: Marvin is a Machine Learning/AI engineer from San Francisco with years of experience working in biotech working early cancer detection. I got started in crypto as a senior consultant on the Ethereum and Cosmos blockchain developing DeFi products for clients. I have in-depth knowledge in DEX architectures and ML-driven yield optimization strategies.
Dr. Lars is our CTO. Additionally, he’s also the Head of Education at IOHK, the company that builds Cardano.

Lars Brünjes: My name is Lars Brünjes. I have a PhD in mathematics and am the Director of Education at IOHK, the company building Cardano, and the CTO of GeniusYield.
I have taught the “Plutus Pioneer Program” about Cardano’s smart contract language Plutus to thousands of students in 2021.

neko @KudasaiJP: Can you tell us about your GeniusYield project? What problems does GeniusYield solve that existing competitors haven’t and what is its competitive advantage?
Sothy Kol-Men: While DeFi provides many investment opportunities, managing capital is both complex and time-consuming. Genius Yield is your all-in-one solution to benefit from advanced algorithmic trading strategies and yield optimization opportunities. As an investor, our platform allows you to customize your investment strategy based on a number of parameters: expected returns, fees you’re ok to pay, when you want to take profit, etc. Our Smart Liquidity Management protocol then takes the wheel. Our goal is to be intuitive, hassle-free, and secure as well as to minimize risk and while maximizing profits.

neko @KudasaiJP: As many of we have already experienced with Uniswap v3, providing centralized liquidity is very difficult to operate.
Lagoon: Uniswap v3で経験済みの方も多いと思いますが、集中流動性の提供は運用がとても難しいですよね。
neko @KudasaiJP: It’s really helpful to have an automated operation to maximize profits.
Lagoon: 利益最大化を目指して自動運用してくれるのは本当に助かりますね。
neko @KudasaiJP: When we manage our own liquidity provision, it is very difficult to find a price that falls outside of the set price range and re-set it.
Lagoon: 自分で流動性提供の運用すると、設定した価格帯から外れるのを見つけて、設定し直すとか大変ですし。
Lars Brünjes: Seeing as transaction fees on Cardano are much lower than on Ethereum, it’s much more efficient to move the price range. Therefore concentrated liquidity becomes more feasible and profitable with GeniusYield than it is with Uniswap V3 on Ethereum.
neko @KudasaiJP: Narrowing the price range of liquidity will increase capital efficiency. However, if the price falls out of the price range specified for liquidity, it will not be earned.
neko @KudasaiJP: Cardanoの取引手数料はEthereumに比べてはるかに低いため、価格帯を移動させる方がはるかに効率的です。そのため、GeniusYieldを使った集中流動性は、EthereumのUniswap V3を使った場合よりも実現性が高く、収益性も高くなります。

neko @KudasaiJP: Did your team build technologies or protocols that are specific to this project? Or are there any notable technologies the team is applying?

Marvin: I’ve done AI & DeFi consulting work for protocols wanting to automate and optimize Uniswap V3 Range Order rebalancing. For example, I was heavily involved with Sommelier.finance on the Ethereum and Cosmos blockchain. I’ve helped them build their backtesting infrastructure and develop their liquidity management algorithms that powers their product. I am bringing my experience in this domain to Genius Yield

neko @KudasaiJP: Can you briefly share GeniusYield top milestones, upcoming target milestones and roadmap?

Sothy Kol-Men: Our Initial Stake Pool Offering (ISPO) has started on December 15. It is a simple, fair and risk-free method for people to start earning our native GENS tokens while delegating their ADA into our dedicated pools. The ISPO will last for 6 months. We just launched our own accelerator program called Genius X for founders with a fully operational startup company to develop the necessary networks, provide the financial infrastructure and technological expertise to propel startups towards attaining speed, scale, and edge. Genius X empowers founders to build impactful, blockchain-based and scalable companies.
In Q1 2022, we aim to release our unique DEX onto the testnet as well as to launch our Genius Academy program: a unique financial education platform whose goal is to democratize the knowledge required to make full use of the investment opportunities in DeFi. The goal is to launch our DEX to the public in Q2 2022.

Seed Round 20%: of the total supply; 10% vesting on listing, linear vesting over 24 months for the rest starting from the 3rd month after TGE.
ISPO 10%: of the total supply; 50% airdropped January 1st, 2023, 50% airdropped June 1st, 2023
Public Sales 3%: of the total supply reserved for the fundraising, directly tradable by investors.
Team 18% : of the total supply; lock-up for 6 months after TGE, then vesting for 36 months.
Marketing & Partnership 5%: of the total supply; lock-up for 1 months after TGE, reserved for marketing and partnership, vesting for a 2-year period.
Token Liquidity 12%: of the total supply; lock-up for 1 month after TGE, reserved for Genius Yield Liquidity Pool and other exchanges, vesting for 2 years.
Ecosystem development fund 6 %: of the total supply; reserved for development vesting for 2-year.
Rewards program 20%: of the total supply; reserved for the fund for liquidity mining on Genius Yield vesting for 3-year.

Sothy Kol-Men: GENS token utility: 1) Governance token to vote on improvement proposals, 2) Earn a portion of the profits collected by the DEX and the Smart Liquidity Management protocol, 3) Access to special features like special courses at the Genius Academy or special optimization modes for yield optimization.

What is your marketing strategy? How do you intend to attract your first users?

Sothy Kol-Men: The best marketing strategy is always to build a strong team, a strong product and strong partnerships. We’re doing just that, and we want to let these three aspects speak for themselves. With that being said, we’re also trying to have our core team do as many Ask Me Anything as possible with different communities. We really believe that this is where the magic happens. Crypto enthusiasts, especially on Cardano, are incredibly engaged. They read everything and ask about all the little details. They’ve helped us address aspects of our project that we hadn’t thought of. So creating a strong relationship with our community is key to our marketing strategy. The second thing that will play a key role really soon is Genius Academy — our DeFi education platform where we’ll be releasing courses on content helping everyday investors understand and harness the power of all DeFi investment tools.

Sothy Kol-Men: We raised $4.2 million in our pre-sales round, which gives us a development burn rate of about 2 years. After that our revenue will mainly come from the protocols — the Genius DEX and Yield Optimizer
